Interpretive Hike "Andean Lagoons"underline mini

trekking hiking caminata wanderung caminhada lagunas andinas andean lakes

Leaving from Pucón, we head towards the Argentinian border where we will enter into the Puesco sector of Villarrica National Park. The hike to the Andean Lagoons begins on the banks of Laguna Quillelhue on a pathway that starts at 1,221 meters above sea level. We can see the north face of Volcano Lanín (altitude: 3,747 meters). From there, you can see the marvelous views of the valleys, the mountain range, and the Araucaria forests, an endemic species that can be found between 900 and 1,700 meters above sea level. After 40 minutes of walking, rising in elevation gradually, we will get to Laguna Huinfiuca on a winding path that goes through some beautiful countryside. You will be very happy to see the view of the imposing Volcano Lanín as a backdrop for the Araucaria trees looking skyward.
